Does HomeView Work With iPhone 15? Personal Siri Requirements
HomeView has Siri AI built in, yet asking it to find an invitation in your messages runs through a paired device. Which iPhones qualify, and what works without one?

- Personal Siri requests require a paired Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone or iPad.
- An iPhone 15 Pro qualifies; a standard iPhone 15 does not. Shared household controls have different requirements.
- HomeView ships November 13 in its initial markets, with Siri AI in English.
The iPhone 15 Pro qualifies; the standard iPhone 15 does not
To ask HomeView for information from your messages or calendar, you need a paired device that supports Apple Intelligence. Buying the display does not add that capability to an older iPhone.
Apple’s Intelligence compatibility list and Siri AI requirements identify the compatible devices:
| Device | Personal Siri device eligibility |
|---|---|
| iPhone 15 or 15 Plus | Does not support Apple Intelligence |
| iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max | Eligible |
| iPhone 16 models or later, iPhone Air, iPhone Duo | Eligible |
| iPad mini with A17 Pro; iPad with M1 or later | Eligible |
Eligibility is only the hardware check. Current software, Siri AI activation, and a supported language still matter. A compatible iPad can also provide the paired device, so an older iPhone does not automatically mean a phone upgrade is necessary.
Setting up HomeView and using personal context are different checks
The technical specifications list current HomeView software, an iPhone with iOS 27.2 or later or an iPad with iPadOS 27.2 or later, and Wi-Fi internet access. Personal-context Siri requests add the Apple Intelligence requirement.
HomeView’s product description separates general questions from finding information on your paired device. Asking about dinner ideas and retrieving an invitation from your messages are different uses of the assistant.
Personal access also depends on the recognized user and the nearby paired device. Apple’s announcement says personal app content appears when the enrolled person is recognized and the paired device is present and recently unlocked. Do not assume that leaving your phone elsewhere preserves unrestricted access at home.
Guests do not need their own personal setup
The product FAQ requires an Apple Account, compatible iPhone or iPad, and membership of the shared home for a personalized experience. Guests and unrecognized people can still control accessories, check the weather, set timers, and play music without accessing personal information.
That distinction helps households decide what each person needs. Shared lights and timers do not require every visitor to enroll. Family members wanting Siri to work with their own messages and schedules need to check their individual devices and setup.
Check language and region as well as hardware
Siri AI currently supports English. Its activation process includes opting into the beta and a waitlist. Broader language availability for other Apple Intelligence features does not establish the same support for Siri AI.
HomeView launches November 13 from $299 in the US. Initial markets are Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, the UK, and the US. Apple lists those markets for HomeView’s English Siri AI as well. The EU is excluded from the initial sale; Apple’s support page also says Siri AI is unavailable on iOS and iPadOS there.
Start with the task you want: shared household controls or personal Siri requests. Then check the paired device, language, and region. Importing the hardware alone does not establish that personal Siri will work with every account.
